Today's prompt is LOVE. This quote by Jack Kornfield appeared in my feed right when I was thinking about today's prompt.
Buddhism teaches of four kinds of love: loving kindness, compassion, joy, and inclusiveness.
Loving kindness is the practice of loving, nurturing, and helping another without the desire to possess them as a key to our own happiness.
Compassion is the practice of understanding and being kind towards another, as well as towards ourselves.
Joy is the practice of creating, appreciating, and living each moment of happiness without the desire for more or fear of its ending.
Inclusiveness is the practice of removing all perceived boundaries between ourselves and others, recognizing that another's wisdom is our wisdom, another's joy is our joy, and another's suffering is our suffering -- perfect communion, perfect communication.
Our time here is short, let us practice love as much as we can.
I'm taking part in Dani DiPirro (IG @positivelypresent)'s 30-day gratitude challenge for the month of November. Every day, I'll be illustrating a different comic based on her daily prompts.
