Today's prompt is TRUTH. I love this quote from Rumi, Sufi poet and philosopher, about the words we speak. To pause and consider the content and delivery of our words is an important exercise that I believe can help us become better communicators. In this illustration, I included a Japanese torii gate to symbolize the conversion of our speech from the mundane to the sacred. How differently we would sound if everything, everything we said not only reflected truth and compassion, but also carried the weight and meaning of prayer.
I'm taking part in Dani DiPirro (IG @positivelypresent)'s 30-day gratitude challenge for the month of November. Every day, I'll be illustrating a different comic based on her daily prompts.
